Sable Cottage

is a spacious modern cottage in a peaceful cul-de-sac facing south on to a quiet lawned area with mature trees and shrubs, just an 8 min walk from the town centre shops, restaurants Padstow harbour and the well known Camel Trail.

Sable Cottage is decorated to a high standard and curtains, throws, cushions, prints and ornaments give a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.

Two bedrooms, fully equipped to sleep four in comfort, with rear garden and garage.

Sable Cottage has been awarded 3 stars by the enjoyEngland.com and has been a member of the Padstow Area Tourisim Association since 2001.

Lounge / Diner

Reached through an inner porch, is fully carpeted complimenting the high standard of furnishings including a comfortable three piece suite, coffee table, child's high chair, dining table and chairs and dresser.

Kitchen

Through an arch to the kitchen, we provide a full range of crockery, glassware, and utensils including that often missed sharp knife and garlic crusher.

To help your culinary efforts there is a full size electric cooker / grill, microwave, coffee maker, fridge and seperate freezer. Also provided are a washing machine, steam iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner and even an electric can opener.

Bedrooms

Upstairs, with heating, a double bedroom to the front and a twin bedded room to the rear, carpeted and equipped with pillows and duvets. Bed Linen and Towels are available, if required, at an additional carge. A travel cot is also provided if needed. Please bring your own towels for the beach.

Bathroom

Between the bedrooms is a bathroom with bath, electric shower over the bath, toilet, basin and electric shaver point and toilet. The bathroom was refrubished in 2010.

Outdoors

Outside, from the kitchen, is a small sheltered lawned garden with patio and furniture, ideal for barbecues. There is an access gate from the rear garden private pathway to secure storage for bikes and surfboards in the lockable garage which is just a short walk from the front of the cottage in an adjacent block.

Sable Cottage is ideally situated for touring all over Cornwall, is within easy walking distance of the nearby and unique Camel Trail where you can bird watch, walk or cycle to Wadebridge, Bodmin and beyond.

Bicycles are available for hire locally. Golfers are well served with Championship Links at Trevose and St. Enodoc. Walkers can enjoy the spectacular Coastal Path, with its fine views, to Bedruthan Steps and beyond.

The golden sands of the Camel Estuary provide an ideal spot for swimming, sailing, water ski-ing and surfing

There are lots of attractions and activities in the area for all to visit and partake.

  • Sail, Surf and Skiing - The Camel Estuary has excellent water sports facilities - sailing, surfing, water-skiing, wind & kite surfing are all available locally.

  • Horse Riding - There are riding stables in the immediate area catering for novices, experienced riders and families.

  • Golf - There are several outstanding coastal links and parkland courses in the surrounding area. You can even try your hand at Green's Crazy Golf with its great view of the Harbour.

  • Angling - The local coastal waters offer exciting sport to the sea angler. Whether float fishing or spinning from the rocky headlands, beach casting into the rolling surf or light tackle fishing in the sheltered waters of the Camel estuary there's enough variety for everyone.

  • The Camel Trail - Cornwall's most popular free attraction, runs from Padstow to Bodmin alongside the river Camel and is a safe and level off-road walking and cycling route. The Camel Trail is an 18 mile traffic free route based on an historic railway track.

  • The Spectacular Coastal Landscape - High cliffs, rocky coves, golden sands, river estuary,amazing wildlife, thundering surf,endless views - and the SW Coast Path passes right alongside as it wends its way through Padstow on its journey northwards towards Hartland Point and west to Land's End and beyond.
